I decided this weekend that my life was missing something and upon much reflection that something was this blog. So hopefully I can keep this rolling, and some of you will keep reading, and we will all benefit from the experience. One Armed Man Hug Commence.
Ok now that we are past this, let’s talk about this website some of you may know about: Gilt
Gilt.com is a online shop that prides itself in it’s ability to offer high quality name brand designers at an exceptionally low price since 2007. It’s run by a cool guy named Nate Richardson who hates velour track suits.“Great!” you’re saying. ” I hate those tacky jumpsuits! How do I get start buying?!” Well, Gilt is an invite only network of highly powerful fashion bloggers such as myself so you’re fresh out of luck. Kidding, it’s not just us powerful fashion bloggers, anyone can join! You need to request to join by signing up on their website and Gilt will then soon reply accepting your request. Otherwise, you need to know someone who is a member and they will be more than happy to invite you (they get 25$ free off their next purchase).
I’m not really sure how Gilt is able to cut the prices of their products that they do, (although I suspect it is through massive purchases and the power of group purchasing)but more than likely your going to be thinking how your going to spend your money over all these massive discounts. Gilt often discounts their products by 50% if not more, and offer several sales a day.
See that’s the catch with Gilt. They have great prices, but you the consumer are limited to what they choose to sell that day, and to the limited amount of product they have. The best deals sell out quickly, and usually the most puzzling products (men’s teeth whitening kit specifically for a weekend trip) are left if you check too late. Luckily for us there is a calendar on the bottom of the page that details the sales coming up this week, and I suggest browsing through that to see what you’re really interested in.
I know this was a text heavy post, devoid of some snazzy pics, so I’m going to post a picture of what I think is my favorite product on sale today on Beryll Sunglasses.
These glasses normally sell for 310$. However, Gilt’s magical powers have them listed at 98$. That’s relatively insane, and since it’s spring weather, and the sun is out, and you don’t want people to see you staring at them on the beach, you need these.
ps- Gilt has prevented me from posting the photos of any of their sale product items so alas. Until next time!
